The Kansas City Board of Trade continued to set new records during the month of February as more contracts were traded than ever before in the exchange's 148-year history for the calendar month of February. An active trading month for hard red winter wheat futures led the way for several new records.

Total open interest as of February 27th, 2004, reached 6 020 million rubles and 704 thousand contracts, a 4% increase in rubles and 3% increase in contracts.

February Volume At CBOE Increased 48%; Volume Gain Posted For Sixth Consecutive Month

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that February volume totaled 27,535,271 contracts traded, an increase of 48% over the February 2003 volume of 18,606,096 contracts. This was the sixth consecutive month that CBOE registered volume gains over year-ago levels.

Eurex Trades 81 Million Contracts In February - Eurex Bonds Records 30 Percent Year-On-Year Growth

The international derivatives market Eurex traded 81 million contracts in February and recorded year-on-year growth of around 10 percent (February 2003: 73.7 million contracts). On average, approximately four million contracts were traded and cleared each day.

Deutsche Börse: 50 Percent Rise In Equities Turnover In February - 294 Billion Euros In Overall Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges - 21 Percent More Transactions On Xetra

The equities turnover has risen significantly in February: The order-book statistics, which are based on single counting of all transactions in the order book of Xetra and broker-supported trading on the floor, show that a total of 84.7 billion euros in equities volume was traded on the German stock exchanges - 50 percent higher than the year before (February 2003: 56.5 billion euros). Of this total, 79 billion euros was traded in German equities, and 5.7 billion euros in foreign equities.
