Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: After the close of trading on Thursday, December 19, 2002, the shares of TSO3 Inc. (TSXVN:TOS) and Dorchester Energy Inc. (TSXVN:DEI) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The shares of TSO3 Inc. will begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange at the open on Friday, December 20, 2002. Dorchester Energy Inc. has been acquired by Celtic Exploration Ltd. (TSXVN:CLT).

NYBOT Announces Changes To Listing Schedule For December 2003 NYSE Composite Index® Futures And Options Contracts

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that effective with the opening of trading on Monday, December 23, 2002, the December 2003 NYSE Composite Index futures contract will be delisted from trading and the December 2003 NYSE Composite Index options contracts will not be listed for trading as long as there is no open interest in the futures contract as of the close of business Friday, December 20, 2002.

Eurex: Another Successful Year At Eurex With Over 800 Million Contracts Traded

Eurex, the international derivatives exchange, is reporting another new world record in trading volume for the year 2002. Based on the preliminary figures, which include estimated volumes for the last five trading days of the year, over 800 million contracts were traded and cleared in 2002, compared with 674 million contracts the year before.
