Euronext: SIIC France Index - Annual Revision And Switch To Free-Float Weighting

1. Annual revision of SIIC France index composition — The IEIF Scientific Committee has included four additional companies having adopted SIIC status in 2004. They are Bail Investissement, Foncière des Pimonts, SIIC de Paris and Société de la Tour Eiffel. The new index composition will apply from the commencement of trading on Monday, 5 July 2004, as will free-float index weightings. Real-estate companies may opt for tax-transparent SIIC status from 1 January to 30 April each year.

Eurex US Receives Regulatory Clearance From Spanish And Italian Regulators

Spanish and Italian market participants can now trade directly on the new fully electronic U.S. futures and options exchange Eurex US following regulatory clearance from the Spanish Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) and the Italian regulator CONSOB. Market participants from 14 countries can now access Eurex US: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, USA and the United Kingdom. Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Strong Equity Market In The First Half Of 2004

Turnover on the equity market reached new all-time high in the first six months of 2004, and at the same time, the investors may be pleased with handsome price rises. In the first half of 2004, the listed companies raised just under DKK 9.7 billion, which is more than the total proceeds raised in 2002 and 2003 combined.

Continued Strength In NYBOT Markets Makes June Another Record Month

For six months running, total futures and options volume at the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®), the world’s leading “soft” commodity exchange, has broken records, with June 2004 setting an all-time monthly volume record of 3,611,479 contracts. Baltic Exchange Launches Ship Demolition Assessments

The Baltic Exchange is set to launch an independent benchmark on the demolition values of bulk carriers and tankers. Testing of the data for the Baltic Demolition Assessments (BDA) will begin on 12 July with an official launch expected in the autumn.
