The Committee Of European Securities Regulators Launches A Call For Evidence On The Second Set Of Mandates From The European Commission On The Markets In Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID)

CESR publishes today a second set of mandates from the European Commission on the legislative measures to implement the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive. CESR’s advice on this second set of mandates must be submitted to the European Commission by the end of April 2005. To prepare this advice CESR welcomes interested parties to respond to the ‘Call for Evidence’ (Ref. CESR/04- 323) by 29 July 2004.

NYBOT Issues Reminder Concerning Ethanol Minimum Delivery Requirement

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) issued today a reminder that Wednesday, June 30th, is the first expiration for Ethanol futures, the June ’04 contract. A minimum of eighty (80) contracts shall be stated for each port being used by a clearing member to make delivery of its final short position.

New York Attorney General Spitzer Announces Market-Timing Settlement With Banc One Investment Advisors Corporation

New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer today announced a $90 million settlement with Banc One Investment Advisors Corporation to resolve allegations that it permitted excessive market timing activity in a number of its mutual funds.

HEX Integrated Markets: Corporate Governance Recommendation Enters Into Force On July 1

The Recommendation on Corporate Governance will be included in the Helsinki Exchanges' regulations concerning listed companies as of July 1, 2004.
