Thai Listed Companies Exceed THB 270 Billion Profit In H1/2006

Listed companies on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Market for Alternative Investment (mai) posted H1/2006 profits of THB 273.25 billion (approx. USD7.19 billion), a 7% increase y-o-y. The three industry groups recording the highest net profits were Resources, Financials, and Services.

International Securities Exchange Announces Successful MidPoint Match™ Trading Simulation Over 34 Million Shares Traded

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE: ISE) today announced the successful results of its first MidPoint Match™ trading simulation. MidPoint Match is the introductory product of the ISE Stock Exchange LLC, slated for launch in September. Over 34 million shares changed hands during the one-hour session, which took place yesterday after the market’s close and was open to all approved users of the ISE Stock Exchange.
