ISE Announces Another Daily Record Trading Volume

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE: ISE), the world's largest equity options exchange, today announced that it set a record for daily trading volume of 4,580,678 equity and index contracts on Friday, January 20, 2006 surpassing the previous record of 3,385,677 contracts set on January 18, 2006.

Instinet Launches Cobra Algorithm

Instinet, a global equities execution agent, today launched Cobra, a stealth ordermanagement algorithm that opportunistically removes portions of liquidity when available, thereby leaving the stock’s spread unchanged. Performing like a seasoned trader, the algorithm will take into account a stock’s historical quoting trends to determine the best execution point, making the trade largely undetectable by the market.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 1 February 2006, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining method
