  • Dubai Financial Market Announces New Trading Week

    Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has announced that its trading week will change starting Sunday 24th September 2006. The market will close on Saturday (September 23rd, 2006) and trading will resume as usual starting from Sunday (September 24th, 2006). From this date, the market will open five days a week from Sunday to Thursday. Trading sessions will remain as usual from 10am – 1pm.

  • CBOT Fed Binary Options September 2006 Expiration

    CBOT Binary Options on the Target Federal Funds Rate expiring in September 2006 will be cash settled today (in accord with CBOT Regulation 2036.01) with reference to a Contract Grade Index value of 94.75.  The Contract Grade Index value is based upon a target federal funds rate of 5.25 percent, as determined and published by the Federal Open Market Committee today, Wednesday, 20 September 2006.

    The American Stock Exchange (Amex) member and non-member organizations today reported short interest of 988,718,341 shares as of the September 15, 2006 settlement date, an increase of 38,735,473 from the 949,982,868 (adjusted) shares reported in mid-August. The September figure represents trades through September 12, 2006.
