Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading Monday Feb. 28, 2006: Macquarie Airports (Australia, SEDOL: 6543628, GICS Code: 20305010), a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index, will increase its shares to 1,642,413,182. This change is the result of a distribution reinvestment plan.

Minneapolis Grain Exchange Memberships Sold At Record Level

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) announced that on February 21st four memberships sold at an all time high of $35,000 each. The previous record high selling price was set on September 28, 2001 at $34,500. MGEX membership grants the owner trading privileges, voting rights and reduced trading fees. Membership seats are also seen as an investment opportunity. Membership values tend to fluctuate, often reflecting opportunities at the Exchange and within the industry.

IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. Reports 44.8 Percent Fourth Quarter Increase In Revenues - 207.1 Percent Increase In Net Income - Record Year In Revenues, Net Income And Volume Produce An 84.1% Rise In Net Income For 2005

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) today reported that fourth quarter 2005 consolidated revenues increased 44.8% to $41.3 million from $28.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2004. Consolidated net income of $14.9 million represented a 207.1% increase compared to $4.8 million of net income in the fourth quarter of 2004.

HKEx To Introduce More Long-dated Index Options

The Securities and Futures Commission has approved Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited's (HKEx) proposed introduction of three long-dated contract months in H-shares Index Options and three additional long-dated contract months in Hang Seng Index (HSI) Options. The six long-dated contract months will be rolled out on 31 March this year.

Deutsche Börse is further expanding its XTF segment for exchange-traded funds on the pan-European trading platform Xetra. On Thursday, fourteen new iShares plc funds were listed by Barclays Global Investors (BGI). The new ETFs offer increased investment opportunities covering geographic, bonds and yield-based market trends.
