Cash products Euronext cash markets registered their busiest month ever in May 2006, with 22 million transactions completed, up 97.5% on the same month last year. This represents a record daily average of 1 million transactions. In total, more than 96 million transactions have been registered since the beginning of the year, up 52.2% on the same period in 2005, representing a record level at this time of the year and a record daily average of 918,000. ISE Reports Record Monthly Volume For May 2006 - Record Monthly Volume Of 57.9 Million Contracts, Up 76% From May 2005 - Average Daily Volume Of 2.6 Million Contracts

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) today reported that average daily trading volume for equity and index options contracts for May 2006 increased 68.3% to 2.6 million contracts as compared to 1.6 million contracts during the same period in 2005. Total equity and index options volume for the month increased 76.3% to a record 57.9 million contracts from 32.9 million contracts in the same year-ago period.
