NYSE Euronext And Borsa Italiana Announce The Signing Of An Agreement For The Sale Of NYSE Euronext’s Stake In MBE Holding

NYSE Euronext (NYSE Euronext: NYX) and Borsa Italiana have signed an agreement regarding MBE Holding, their joint venture that owns 60.37% of Società per il Mercato dei Titoli di Stato S.p.A. (“MTS”), and MTSNext. Under the terms of the agreement, NYSE Euronext’s 51% stake in MBE Holding and 33% stake in MTSNext are valued at €100 million (dividend attached).

U.S. Futures Exchange To Exclusively List Futures On Select Lehman Brothers’ Fixed Income Benchmark Indexes

U.S. Futures Exchange (USFE) announced today that it has signed a licensing agreement with Lehman Brothers to list cash-settled futures contracts derived from Lehman Brothers’ U.S. Treasury Index, U.S. Corporate High-Yield Index, U.S. Credit 7-10 Year Index and U.S. Treasury 7-10 Year Index. Futures on the Corporate High-Yield, U.S. Credit 7-10 Year, and U.S. Treasury 7-10 Year indices will be available exclusively on USFE’s all-electronic trading platform.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that it has fined Morgan Stanley DW Inc. (now known as Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated) $1.5 million and ordered the firm to pay more than $4.6 million in restitution for rule violations relating to the sale of corporate bonds to retail customers at excessive prices.
