    On September 1 st , 2005, RTS Index celebrates its 10 th anniversary. The Index, the benchmark of Russian securities market, was first calculated on September 1 st , 1995. The Index was calculated once a day based on statistics of trading in the most liquid stocks of the RTS Classic market. The initial value of the Index was set at 100.

    OneChicago, LLC today reported that 399,415 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in August, 472% higher than August 2004 volume. The average daily volume in August was 17,366. Year-to-date volume is up 169%.
