CME Eurodollar Electronic Options Reach A New Volume Record - Options Records Also Set In Equity And Foreign Exchange Products

CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today reported record electronic options on futures contracts trading volume in its benchmark CME(R) Eurodollar interest rate product during the Friday, Jan. 27 trading session. CBOT Fed Watch - January 30 Market Close

In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on January 31, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

At 10.53 a.m., the Viennese leading index broke through the 4,000 point mark on 30 January 2006 for the first time. This is the third year in a row that the ATX has continued to rally: In July 2004, the ATX broke through the 2000 point mark and only one year later it overcame 3,000 points. In the past three years, the performance of the ATX has been far above the international average at approximately 35% (2003), 57% (2004) and 51% (2005).

Cairo And Alexandria Stock Exchanges: CASE 30 Index Broke The 8000 Level

Another breaking record for the Egyptian market on 29 January 2005, with CASE 30 Index striking a new high of 8064 points, on the back of the ongoing robust market performance, to register a 27.5 % YTD increase. This in turn was reflected in the hike in the market capitalization to settle at L.E 540.3 billion (US$ 94 billion), up from L.E 456 billion (US$ 80 billion) at the end of December 2005.

UK's Financial Services Authority To Streamline Money Laundering Rules For Firms
