The MICEX Settlement House Opens Its Branch In Vladivostok

The MICEX Settlement House has opened a branch in Vladivostok (the Maritime branch of the MICEX SH), which the Bank of Russia’s Moscow Main Territorial Department has entered into the State Registration Book for credit institutions (registration # 3294/2). The Maritime branch of the MICEX SH begins its work in July this year. The address of the Maritime branch of the MICEX SH: 3, Prospekt Krasnogo Znameni, Vladivostok, 690106.

Trading Volume On The BME Markets Reached €138.25 Bn, 52.3% Up On The Year

Equity trading volume to May came in at €678.92 bn, 54.8% up on the same period in 2006. The value of trading in warrants and certificates in May was 43.7% up on the same month a year earlier. Options and Futures: trading on MEFF was 2,607,501 contracts in May. Highlights include Stock Futures and IBEX 35 Mini Futures, with growth rates of 32% and 30% respectively. Corporate Debt trading in May was €93.75 bn, 18.6% up on the year.

SWX Swiss Exchange Fines Fiduciaire Michel Favre SA

The Executive Committee of the SWX Swiss Exchange Admission Board has issued a fine against Fiduciaire Michel Favre SA, Lausanne, for violation of the provisions of the Listing Rules. Cause for the sanction relate to an improper audit opinion submitted by Fiduciaire Michel Favre SA in its capacity as group auditors of an SWX-listed company.

Standard & Poor’s Index Services Australia (S&P Index) and its index partner, the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), today announced changes to Australia’s premier index series. The changes allow the inclusion of foreign-domiciled stocks on the core S&P/ASX suite of indices, and will result in a more-fully diversified investible benchmark.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. (CSI) have recently published the adjusted industry classification of SSE listed companies according to the annual reports of 2006. Such regular adjustment helps to better reflect the listed companies' industry structures and enhance the investment research for market participants.
