CEE Indices Of The Vienna Stock Exchange Generate EUR 225m Turnover For The Ljubljana Stock Exchange

Around EUR 225m have been invested in the Ljubljana Stock Exchange due to the inclusion of Slovenian stocks into the CEE indices of the Vienna Stock Exchange (VSE). Specifically, the investments were made into structured products such as the 220 certificates and warrants as well as three ETFs (exchange-traded funds) that have been issued by banks up to now on the nine CEE indices of the VSE that contain Slovenian stocks. Five leading trade associations, co-sponsors of the Joint Associations Committee (JAC), today released an exposure draft of “Structured Products: Principles for Managing the Distributor-Individual Investor Relationship.” The global, non-binding, Principles address a wide range of issues affecting distribution of structured products to individual investors and complement the JAC’s “Principles for Managing the Provider-Distributor Relationship,” which were released in July 2007.
