CME Group Renews Exclusive License Of Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures Contract

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, today announced it has renewed its contract with Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider. The agreement enables the exchange to continue to exclusively offer futures and options on futures products based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA(SM)) and other Dow Jones Indexes, which are some of the most recognized benchmarks in the financial industry.

Tom Healy - New Director General Of Abu Dhabi Securities Market

The Board of the Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM) has appointed Mr Tom Healy as Director General, with effect from September 8, 2007. Mr Healy (aged 57) was previously Chief Executive of the Irish Stock Exchange, and is an Irish national. He was head of the Irish Exchange for twenty years, from February 1987 to June 2007. Mr Healy has carried out numerous consultancy and advisory assignments internationally, mainly on capital markets, including for the World Bank, the European Union and USA

Climate Exchange Plc And Deutsche Bank To launch Trading In Catastrophe Event-Linked Futures On The Chicago Climate Futures Exchange

Insurance Futures Exchange Services Ltd (IFEX), a member of the Climate Exchange Plc group of companies, and Deutsche Bank AG today announces the planned launch of trading in catastrophe event-linked futures (“ELF”) on the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (CCFE) later this month, pending CCFE’s self-certification of the futures product with the U.S. Commodities Trading Commission.

Clearstream Experiences Good Growth Levels In August 2007

Clearstream processed 2.48 million international transactions in August 2007, a 47 percent rise over August 2006 (1.69 million). Of these transactions, 75 percent were Over the Counter (OTC) transactions and 25 percent were registered as stock exchange transactions. Domestic settlement transactions in Germany stood at 4.44 million compared to 2.87 million for the same month last year (a rise of 55 percent).
