MCX Weekly Market Report – November 24-30, 2006 - MCX Energy Index Closes At 2183.99 Up 176.30 Points

The MCX COMDEX closed at 2,284.78 up 115.60 points during the course of the week; while the MCX Agri Index closed at 1,753.32 up 15.36 points; MCX Energy Index closed at 2,360.29 up 176.30 points and MCX Metal Index closed at 2,740.73 up 154.41 points. The Exchange has recorded a total weekly turnover of Rs. 45,083.31 crore for the period December 1, 2006.

Change Of TOPIX Methodology For Transfer To The Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section From The Second Section

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced today that it will change the TOPIX and TOPIX Sector indices methodology for the transfer of listed companies from the TSE Second Section to the First Section. This change is due to the fact that the date of transfer to the TSE First Section from the Second Section has been made more flexible from today. The details are as follows:

Cash products 19.8 million transactions were registered on Euronext’s cash markets in November 2006, up 34.8% on November 2005, making the month the busiest November ever.
