FTSE Selected By Stock Exchange Of Thailand To Calculate Domestic Benchmark For Thai Stock Market

FTSE Group (“FTSE”), the global index provider, and The Stock Exchange of Thailand (“SET”) today signed a Cooperation Agreement to develop a new series of equity indices for the domestic Thai stock market. FTSE was selected by SET after an extensive pitch process, basing its decision on FTSE’s superior and innovative methodology, global reach and long-standing experience with exchanges to design, calculate and disseminate domestic indices appropriate for both local and international markets.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Reaches Settlement In Ginsburg Litigation

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that the parties in Ginsburg v. Philadelphia Stock Exchange, et al., have filed with the court within the last hour a Stipulation of Settlement that memorializes the previously announced settlement agreement. The settlement remains subject to approval by the Delaware Court of Chancery.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that trading volume during August topped one hundred million contracts for the first time in CBOE's 34-year history. The 105,551,741 contracts traded made August 2007 the busiest month ever at CBOE. Borse Dubai welcomes the decision reached by the Swedish Securities Council, approving of our request for an extension for the submission of the Offer Document in relation to its cash offer for OMX. Borse Dubai believes that the additional time will enable Borse Dubai to better present its offer to OMX shareholders. The offer document will be submitted on the 14th of September 2007.

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) announced today that trading volume during August 2007 totaled 183,173 contracts, the busiest month ever at CFE. For the third consecutive month, trading at CFE set a new all-time record as August's volume surpassed the 121,285 contracts traded during July, the previous all-time high. August's average daily volume of 7,964 contracts, also a new all-time high, was up from the year-ago average daily volume of 2,271 contracts.
