- From 1 November 2007 investment firms will report the transactions that they have executed to their local Competent Authority in accordance with Article 25 in the MiFID Directive. Competent Authorities will exchange these reports in accordance with the Directive and implementing measures adapted by the EU Commission. The Competent Authorities are CESR Members. Euronext.liffe’s Bclear Volume Breaks 50 Million Mark

On Wednesday 13 December, the total volume in equity derivatives futures and options registered through Euronext.liffe’s Bclear wholesale service in 2006 passed the 50 million lot milestone (€1,500 billion in notional value).

Up to November 2006, the volume of Equity Trading of European Stock Exchanges was close to 15.5 thousand billion EUR, this means a 31.5% increase compare to one year ago. The equity market capitalisation of FESE Member exchanges has reached record levels close to 11 thousand million EUR, about 18% increase in one year.
