The Philadelphia Stock Exchange To Begin Trading Broad-Based Index Options On The Russell Family Of Indexes

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that it would begin trading broad-based index options on the Russell family of benchmark stock indexes. The first products to begin trading on Tuesday, February 20 will be cash settled options on the Russell 2000® (RUT) and Russell reduced value 2000® (RMN).

Deutsche Börse Systems and COLT, a leading European provider of business communications, announced today an agreement to provide ‘Proximity Services’ to members of Deutsche Börse’s trading platforms. The new offering enables financial trading organisations to place their order management systems as close as possible to Deutsche Börse’s trading infrastructure, so that they can exchange data and process orders with minimal latency delay.

The Number Of Russian Individual Investors On The MICEX Stock Exchange Has Exceeded 250 000 People

The MICEX Stock Exchange trading system has registered its 250 000th individual investor. He is a client of Sberbank, one of participants in trading on the MICEX SE. At present, the number of individual investors is 252 198 people, while the total number of investors registered on the MICEX Stock Exchange has reached 287 694 clients.

Planned Attack On The EEX - False Information And Reputed Exchange Data In Circulation

The European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) has been a victim of a planned attack. An email in circulation originating from eex.transparency@web.de has been sent to the EEX on February 19th of this year. This email was received by a mailing list unknown to the EEX.
