Direct Edge Monthly Volume For September 2008 - Records In Overall Volume And ELP Volume

Direct Edge ECN announced today statistical information regarding its volume for September 2008. Direct Edge reported a record 1.1 billion shares handled per day in September, representing a 205% year-over-year increase. Direct Edge’s handled market share in all U.S. equity securities was 9.63% for the month, with a 5.44% matched market share.
