State Aid: European Commission Gives Guidance To Member States On Measures For Banks In Crisis

The European Commission has published guidance on how Member States can best support financial institutions in the current financial crisis whilst respecting EU state aid rules and so avoiding excessive distortions of competition. In September, 2008, Dalian Futures Exchange traded 58 million contracts with turnover of RMB 2.6 trillion, increasing 13.74% and 55.4% as compared with the previous period, among which No.1 soybean, No. 2 soybean, corn, polyethylene, soybean meal, palm oil and soyoil were traded 22 million, 7,630, 5.6 million, 1.6 million, 1.9 million and 10.2 million contracts respectively.
