European Commission: Lima Outcome Keeps Climate Talks On Track For Paris Agreement

The European Union welcomes the outcome of the United Nations climate conference in Lima as a step forward on the road to a global climate deal in Paris next year. The conference agreed on two deliverables, the Lima Call for Climate Action and the draft elements text for the 2015 Agreement. As countries come forward with proposed emissions reduction targets in the coming months, the Lima Call requires all countries to describe their proposed target in a clear, transparent and understandable way. This will enable us to quantify our proposed contributions. And in order to asses whether these contributions are fair and ambitious and the collective effort puts us on track to keep global warming below the 2 degrees centigrade, the UNFCCC secretariat will publish the contributions and prepare a synthesis report. The EU stands ready to help in this process and engage in constructive discussions with other countries about their proposed targets.

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) is continuing its promotional plan for the business community. In the last few days EGX participated in 2 meetings targeting the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) and 10 th of Ramadan Businessmen association in presence of a large number of promising companies. The meetings aimed to exhibit the benefits obtained by the companies either by listing in the main market or in NILEX market for small and medium companies.

HKEx: Statistics Show Stock Connect's Quota Usage Has Been Efficient

Total turnover values under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect (Stock Connect), the mutual market access programme of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, have often been much larger than the quota usage, and on average Southbound trading's daily turnover value is nearly twice the daily quota usage, according to statistics from the first four weeks of the programme.

The former chief technology officer of Liberty Reserve was sentenced today to serve five years in prison for conspiring to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business that processed more than $16 billion through Liberty Reserve’s digital currency system. The Court found that Marmilev understood the illegal nature of Liberty Reserve’s business and that he knew that a wide array of criminal enterprises used Liberty Reserve to further their criminal activity.
Federal Reserve Board Requests Comment For Depository Institution Holding Companies With Non-Traditional Capital Structures
