TAIFEX ETF Futures Trading Volume Reaches Daily High Since Launch - A Total Of 8,038 Contracts Was Traded On December 4

Trading volume of the newly listed ETF Futures on Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) continuingly breaks its prior records. 8,038 contracts were traded on December 4, reaching a record daily high since its launch on October 6. In just two months, ETF futures have become a focus of the market.

Bank Of England Announces Results Of UK Stress Test

The Bank of England today announced the results of the first concurrent stress testing exercise of the UK banking system. Alongside the stress test publication, the Bank of England also published its Financial Stability Report, which sets out the Financial Policy Committee’s (FPC) assessment of the outlook for the stability and resilience of the financial sector, and the Systemic Risk Survey, which quantifies and tracks market participants’ perceptions of systemic risks.

Euronext Launches Single Stock Dividend Futures - New Derivatives Products That Allow Investors To Take Position On Dividend Payments

Euronext, the leading exchange in the Eurozone, today announced the launch of a range of Single Stock Dividend Futures on the most liquid stocks listed on its Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris markets. The new dividend futures contracts will be available for trading in Q1 2015, starting with CAC 40® Index components. Euronext’s Single Stock Dividend Futures will offer investors additional dividend trading potential and will enable them to benefit from efficient pricing. The new products complement Euronext’s already existing dividend index offering made of the CAC 40® and AEX®Dividend Index Futures.

Sample Adjustment Of Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index, SZSE SME Index And SZSE ChiNext Index

Shenzhen Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. announced on December 15, 2014 to make regular adjustment, in line with the indices compiling rules, to the sample stocks for SZSE series indices, which include SZSE Component Index, SZSE SME Index, SZSE ChiNext Index and SZSE 100 Index. Meanwhile, Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. announced to make regular adjustment to the sample stocks for CNI 100 Index and other cross-market indices. The adjustments will come into effect as of the first trading day of January in 2015.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange recently promulgated the Notice on Spearhead the Information Disclosure Express Practice for Administrative Permissions-exempted Corporate Information Disclosure Including Preplans of Listed Company Major Assets Restructuring (the “Notice”). In the future, Information Disclosure Express Practice will be applied to corporate information, such as preplans of listed company major assets restructuring, which is exempted from administrative permissions. SZSE will carry out ex post supervision over such information disclosure.

Last week, Shenzhen Component Index stood at 10462.3 points after adding 3.9%. SME Index edged up 1.4% to 5778.6 points. ChiNext Index advanced 2.6% to 1623.6 points. Total turnover for stocks and funds on SZSE was US$ 292.3 billion, or a 1.1% increase from the week before.
