Gregor Pottmeyer, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Börse AG, commented on the results of the initial tender period:"We are very pleased that the majority of our shareholders believe in the compelling strategic rationale of our proposed merger. The merger will unlock significant value generation potential and accelerate our growth strategy. Shareholders who have not tendered their shares so far will have the opportunity to do so in the additional acceptance period, which will start on 30 July and last until 12 August. We are confident that we will see significantly higher acceptance levels at the end of the two additional weeks."

BME Posts A Net Profit Of €86 Million In The First Half - The Second Best Six-Month Period Since 2008

- In the second quarter the net profit was 43.1 million, up 0.6% from the previous quarter
- Revenues to the end of June totaled €168.2 million
- Stripping out one-off items, operating costs decreased by 1% for the first six months
- The cost base coverage ratio with revenue not linked to volumes ended the first half with a value of 119%, an increase of two points
- In the first six months the efficiency ratio at end-June 2016 was 32% while ROE for the period was 39.7%, beating the sector average by 12 and 19 points respectively

Securities Commission Malaysia Charges Former Executive Director Of Kencana Petroleum For Insider Trading

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) today charged a former Executive Director of Kencana Petroleum Bhd, and two other individuals with insider trading. Yeow Kheng Chew (Yeow), 64, was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for acquiring 1,159,000 shares on 8 July 2011 whilst in possession of inside information.
