Moscow Exchange: Final Settlement Date For Brent Oil Futures (Br-1.17)

Due to official holidays in Russia, the final settlement date of the January Brent oil futures contracts (BR-1.17) will be changed on December 5th, 2016 (since 19:00 Moscow time) to 30 December 2016, instead of 2 January 2017.

Monetary Authority of Singapore Imposes Penalties On Standard Chartered Bank And Coutts For 1MDB-Related AML Breaches

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced today that it has imposed financial penalties of S$5.2 million and S$2.4 million respectively on Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Branch (SCB) and Coutts & Co Ltd, Singapore Branch (Coutts) for breaches of MAS’ anti-money laundering (AML) requirements. These breaches occurred in the context of 1MDB-related fund flows through these banks.

Financial Services Information Sharing And Analysis Center And Monetary Authority Of Singapore Establish Asia Pacific (APAC) Intelligence Centre For Sharing And Analysing Cyber Threat Information

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced yesterday that they will collaborate to establish an Asia Pacific (APAC) Regional Intelligence and Analysis Centre to encourage regional sharing and analysis of cybersecurity information within the financial services sector. This Singapore-based Intelligence Centre is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2017.
