Eurex Clearing’s Partnership Program Gains Broad Market Support

Eurex Clearing’s offer to accelerate the development of a liquid, EU based alternative for the clearing of interest rate swaps gains broad market support. Around 20 market participants from the US, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe already decided to participate in Eurex Clearing’s partnership program. The early sign-up period expires on November 20, and the participants will be disclosed on the Eurex Clearing website.

European Banking Authority To Be Relocated To Paris, France

The EU 27 ministers today selected Paris, France, as the new seat for the European Banking Authority (EBA). The selection took place in the margins of the General Affairs Council (Article 50), in accordance with the procedure endorsed by the EU 27 heads of State and Government on 22 June 2017.

Payments Council Endorses Singapore Quick Response Code Specifications For Electronic Payments

The Payments Council has endorsed the specification for a common Singapore Quick Response Code (SG QR) that can accept electronic payments by both domestic and international payment schemes, e-wallets, and banks. The new SG QR was developed by an industry taskforce co-led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Infocomm Media Development Authority.

ACER published today two decisions on the harmonized maximum and minimum clearing prices for single day-ahead and intraday coupling in accordance with the EU regulation on Capacity Allocation & Congestion Management (CACM).
