Responding to recent and widespread consumer abuses and other compliance breakdowns by Wells Fargo, the Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced that it would restrict the growth of the firm until it sufficiently improves its governance and controls. Concurrently with the Board's action, Wells Fargo will replace three current board members by April and a fourth board member by the end of the year.

The European Association of CCP Clearing Houses (EACH) acknowledges the outcome of the ESMA EU-wide CCP Stress Test 2017. EACH members supplied data on a confidential basis to ESMA in the development of this report. ESMA has extended the scope of this exercise compared to last year both by including liquidity stress tests and by including parameters which go beyond what is plausible.

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), is pleased to announce that effective with the February 2018 index roll period, MGEX’s flagship Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures contract will be included in the Rogers International Commodity Index (RICI®).  The RICI is used to track the value of a basket of commodities consumed throughout the world.

A total turnover of 3.268 billion shares worth N28.123 billion in 35,761 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 7.157 billion shares valued at N42.545 billion that exchanged hands last week in 39,037 deals.
