EGX Allows The Listed Companies To Stock Split Their Stocks More Than Once A Year

Within EGX efforts to facilitate the procedures of the listed companies to do stock split, the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has approved EGX Board of Directors' decision to cancel the maximum times for stock split for the shares’ nominal value of the listed companies to comply with the Listing rules issued by FRA Board of Directors.

This morning (July 25, 2018), the first International Sports Tech Summit 2018 in Israel, which opened the trading on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). ACER Adopts A Decision On The Methodology To Establish Market Coupling Algorithms

The methodology covers the rules for development and maintenance of the price coupling algorithm for the day ahead timeframe and the continuous trading matching algorithm for intraday timeframe. It also covers the requirements that both algorithms must fulfil. Besides the amendments to improve the legal clarity of the document, the Agency impose more concrete and legally enforceable requirements on NEMOs with regard to their obligations to develop the algorithms and with regard to the underlying rules for monitoring and changing the algorithms.

HKEX Receives CFTC Certification For Its MSCI AxJ Futures

The US Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has certified that effective 27 July 2018, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited’s (HKEX) MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Net Total Return Index (MSCI AxJ) Futures contract meets certain requirements of the US Commodity Exchange Act. This means that intermediaries may offer or sell the contract to customers in the US without any further regulatory action from the CFTC.

ESMA Finds Shortcomings In National Supervision Of Efficient Portfolio Management By UCITS

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has found that national regulators need to improve their supervision of Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities (UCITS) engaging in efficient portfolio management techniques (EPM). A recent peer review by ESMA, which assessed the level of compliance of six national competent authorities (NCAs) with its Guidelines on EPM, found a number of shortcomings in certain NCAs’ approaches when supervising the use of EPM by UCITS.
