Tokyo Commodity Exchange March 2018 Market Summary - TOCOM March 2018 Volume Averaged 108,595 Contracts, Down 15.3% MoM, Up 16.8% YoY

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange reported today that average daily volume for March 2018 was 108,595 contracts, down 15.3% month-over-month and up 16.8% year-over-year. Volume increased for Platinum Rolling Spot by 17.6% to 14,347 contracts. Volume was lower for TOCOM’s most active contracts. Gold Standard fell 25.9% to 33,108 contracts, Gold Rolling Spot was down 18.5% to 17,270 contracts, Platinum Standard fell 7.8% to 12,090 contracts and Dubai Crude Oil decreased 18.9% to 14,970 contracts.

DTCC-EUROCLEAR Global Collateral And NEX Partner To Further Streamline Margin Call Processes - GlobalCollateral’s MTU To Link With NEX’s triResolve Margin, Enabling Users To Centralize Margin Call Operations

DTCC-Euroclear Global Collateral Ltd (GlobalCollateral), a joint venture of Euroclear and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and NEX a financial technology company at the centre of the global markets, today announced a new partnership to streamline and improve OTC derivatives margin call processes. As a new member of the GlobalCollateral Partner Program, NEX is currently working to link its triResolve Margin web-based collateral management solution with GlobalCollateral’s Margin Transit Utility (MTU) to provide mutual clients with a centralized view across margin call operations. The connected service will also help users to meet regulatory compliance objectives around the margining of uncleared OTC derivatives transactions.

Reuters Names Recipients Of New Thomson Reuters/White House Correspondents’ Association Trust In Reporting Scholarships

Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, today announced the recipients of two new Thomson Reuters/White House Correspondents’ Association Trust in Reporting Scholarships. The annual one-year scholarships were designed to increase diversity among professional journalists reporting on politics and are available to students of Grambling State University and Arizona State University graduate journalism programs. Recipients will also have access to training and workshops with the Reuters news organization.

Bari Havlik Joins FINRA As Executive Vice President, Member Supervision

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that it has named Bari Havlik as Executive Vice President for Member Supervision. In that capacity, Havlik will be responsible principally for leading FINRA’s Member Regulation program, which includes surveillance and examination programs for member firms. She will replace Susan Axelrod, who is leaving FINRA after 28 years of service, and will report directly to FINRA CEO Robert Cook. Havlik will start on April 30.
