  • SIX Trading Key Figures: May 2019

    In May, trading turnover on the Swiss stock exchange was down -6.7% on the previous month and reached CHF 113.7 billion. There was also an slight decrease in the number of transactions by -0.8% to 4,630,238. In comparison with the corresponding period last year, trading turnover was down by -5.3% at CHF 583.6 billion, while the number of trades dropped by -15.2% to 22,589,720. Since the beginning of the year, the SMI® rose by 13.0%; having reached a new all-time high in the previous month, as at the end of May it reclined by -2.5% to 9524.0 points.

  • Luxembourg Stock Exchange Teams Up With China Construction Bank

    The Luxembourg Stock Exchange has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Construction Bank, one of the world’s biggest banks. The official signing ceremony took place at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on Friday 31 May, in the presence of H.E. Mr Huang Changqing, the Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg.
