Last month, Rt Hon. Nicky Morgan MP, Chair of the Treasury Committee, wrote to Professor Sir John Curtice, President of the British Polling Council (BPC), on the use of private polling data, particularly during election and referendum campaigns, and the risks of the integrity of UK financial markets. The Committee published Professor Curtice’s response earlier this month.

ASIC: Research Study On Enforceable Undertakings Released

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) released today a report of a pilot study by the Law Faculty of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) on the deterrent effect of Enforceable Undertakings (EUs) on peer financial services and credit providers. The study was undertaken, and the report written by an UNSW team led by Professor Dimity Kingsford-Smith.

NZX Limited (NZX) – Long Term Incentive Plan

NZX advises that it has issued performance rights to the members of its executive and management teams pursuant to NZX’s Long Term Incentive Plan. Under the plan, holders may be issued performance rights. The performance rights give the holder options to acquire ordinary shares in NZX, which may be exercised if the performance rights vest. The vesting period for the performance rights is 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2020.

The mid-September short interest represents 4.33 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.21 days for the prior reporting period.

Deutsche Börse: Unscheduled Adjustment Of Linde AG In DAX - Shares Of Linde AG To Be Replaced - Changes To Be Effective As Of 29 October 2018

On Wednesday, Deutsche Börse announced an unscheduled change to the DAX index. As a result of the merger of Linde AG and Praxair Inc., the Linde AG tendered shares (ISIN DE000A2E4L75), which are currently in the index, will be replaced with the shares of the new company Linde plc (ISIN IE00BZ12WP82). The merger event will be reflected in the index by a split of 1.54 new share for every old share and by an ISIN change, from DE000A2E4L75 to IE00BZ12WP82. These changes will become effective on 29 October 2018.

Credit Benchmark, the leader in consensus based credit analytics, has announced plans to expand its offerings and scale its contributed data model, solidifying its standing as the largest source of credit risk data for rated and un-rated entities. The expansion will be fueled by a $7 million investment led by Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, Communitas Capital and a group of private investors that includes former Goldman Sachs Vice Chairman and the co-chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs International Michael Sherwood. Mr. Sherwood will also join the Credit Benchmark Board of Directors.
