OCC October Cleared Volume Down 20.5 Percent

OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization, announced today that total cleared contract volume in October reached 451,300,066 contracts, a 20.5 percent decrease compared to last October. OCC's year-to-date average daily cleared contract volume is 19,728,721, down 4.7 percent compared to 2018's record-breaking pace.

Nigerian Stock Exchange Stock Market Report For November 1st 2019

A total turnover of 1.511 billion shares worth N16.193 billion in 15,544 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 2.051 billion shares valued at N16.126 billion that exchanged hands last week in 13,508 deals.

SIX Trading Key Figures: October 2019

In October, trading turnover on the Swiss Stock Exchange was up 2.0% on the previous month and reached CHF 141.9 billion. There was an increase in the number of transactions by 10.1% to 6,807,770. In comparison with the corresponding period last year, trading turnover was up by 8.4% at CHF 1,243.6 billion, while the number of trades rose by 4.8% to 53,129,306. Since the beginning of the year, the SMI® rose by 21.2% and reached 10,219.8 points at the end of October.

I appreciate this opportunity to speak today at the Japan Society, a respected institution dedicated to studying, advocating, and expanding interactions between the United States and Japan.1 While the society's remit is broad and includes arts, culture, and education, I will, perhaps not surprisingly, focus my remarks on our two economies. Japan is an important economic partner of the United States, and our economies are linked through trade in goods and services as well as capital flows that affect interest rates and other aspects of financial markets. Through these channels, developments in Japan can affect economic conditions in the United States, and vice versa.
