Eurex Expands Its Global Footprint Together With Barclays

Barclays has joined EurexOTC Clear to support Eurex in expanding its distribution network in the U.S. In so doing, Barclays is the first European bank to offer Eurex’s OTC clearing services through its U.S. registered futures commission merchant (FCM) to U.S. clients. The first transaction has been already successfully cleared.
UK Financial Conduct Authority Publishes Final Report In Relation To RBS GRG

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today published the final report on its investigation in to Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) treatment of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers transferred to its Global Restructuring Group (GRG). This follows the update provided in July 2018 on the investigation.

UAE’s Securities And Commodities Authority Releases An Awareness-Raising Publication On Sustainable Investing

As part of its efforts to support the national sustainability agenda and to bring the UAE-based financial markets on par with international markets, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) released a publication, titled: “An Introduction to Sustainable Investing” on its website. This is part of a new move that sets the stage for the implementation of SCA’s plan for sustainable capital markets launched early this year. The plan followed SCA’s last year’s announcement of an initiative to form a platform for carbon emissions trading.
Monetary Authority Of Singapore And UK Financial Authorities Announce Collaboration On Cyber Security

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority announced today that they would be working together to strengthen cyber security in their financial sectors. MAS and the UK authorities will commence work towards a Memorandum of Understanding to signify this enhanced collaboration.
