The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois entered a Consent Order for Permanent Injunction on January 8th against defendant Richard D. Carter of Illinois in connection with a $1.76 million commodity pool fraud operated by Blue Guru, LLC.

SEC Names Allen Blume As Deputy Chief Financial Officer

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Allen Blume has been named Deputy Chief Financial Officer in the agency’s Office of Financial Management (OFM). Mr. Blume’s responsibilities include directing and coordinating the SEC’s financial planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems. OFM formulates budget and authorization requests; monitors the utilization of agency resources; and develops, oversees, and maintains SEC financial processes and systems.
