Superintendent of Financial Services Linda A. Lacewell announced today that Deutsche Bank AG, its New York branch, and Deutsche Bank Trust Company America (collectively “Deutsche Bank” or the “Bank”) have agreed to pay $150 million in penalties as part of a Consent Order entered into with the New York State Department of Financial Services (“DFS” or the “Department”) for significant compliance failures in connection with the Bank’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and correspondent banking relationships with Danske Bank Estonia (“Danske Estonia”) and FBME Bank (“FBME”).

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), ranked as the leader in U.S. IPO proceeds for the first half of 2020, raising $19.0 billion in new offerings, including a surge of SPAC listings that are increasingly being chosen as an alternative path to the public markets. The NYSE executed 10 of the 15 largest IPOs during the period, including the recent debuts of Albertsons (NYSE: ACI) and Dun & Bradstreet Holdings (NYSE: DNB) on the public markets.

The MIAX Exchange Group (“MIAX”) is proposing to extend the temporary relief previously granted to member firms for filing of annual reports subject to its Rule 1308 – Supervision of Accounts. Subject to SEC approval, MIAX will extend the filing deadline for member to July 31, 2020.
 

EBA Banking Stakeholders Group Held Its First Meeting In Its New Composition

The EBA Banking Stakeholder Group (BSG) held today its first meeting in its new composition. The renewed BSG, the fifth one since the establishment of the European Banking Authority (EBA) in 2011, was agreed by the EBA Board of Supervisors at its meeting on 17 June 2020. The 30 selected members, who started their four-year mandate on 1 July 2020, will provide advice to the EBA on its policy work and must be consulted on technical standards, guidelines and recommendations.
