  • ESMA Issues Opinions On Product Intervention Measures By Cyprus, France, Malta And Sweden

    The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today issued four positive opinions on product intervention measures taken by the National Competent Authorities (NCAs) of Cyprus, France, Malta and Sweden. ESMA’s opinion finds that the proposed measures are justified and proportionate and that it is necessary for NCAs of other Member States to take product intervention measures that are at least as stringent as ESMA’s measures.

    MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), welcomes June into the record book as the 16th best total volume month with a total of 241,941 contracts traded. This past month represents the fifth consecutive June to appear in the top-25 total monthly exchange volume record.  

  • SIX Trading Key Figures: June 2019

    In the first half of 2019, the Swiss stock exchange registered a trading turnover of CHF 693.2 billion. In total, 26,605,653 trades were executed. With Aluflexpack, Stadler, Alcon and Medacta, SIX welcomed four new companies in the first six months. In June, Switzerland’s equity market barometer SMI broke through the 10,000 point mark for the first time.
