Vienna Stock Exchange: Gerhard Lahner (Vienna Insurance Group) And Rainer Borns (Volksbank Wien) Appointed To Supervisory Board

At today's Annual General Meetings of Wiener Börse AG and its holding company CEESEG AG, the Supervisory Board members were newly appointed by the shareholders. The Supervisory Board is composed of twelve shareholder representatives. With the exception of two mandates, the composition remains unchanged. Gerhard Lahner (Vienna Insurance Group AG) succeeds Martin Simhandl (formerly Vienna Insurance Group AG). Rainer Borns (Volksbank Wien AG) takes over the mandate from Josef Weißl (Oberbank AG). Heimo Scheuch (Wienerberger AG) and Angelika Sommer-Hemetsberger (OeKB) will remain Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board respectively.

FIA Recommends Changes To Exchange Traded Derivatives Reporting Under European Regulation

FIA today published a new position paper that highlights the concerns of market participants with the current reporting framework for exchange traded derivatives (ETDs). Further, and more importantly, FIA suggests alternative solutions which will assist regulators to monitor systemic risks in the ETD market, improve data quality and reduce existing inconsistencies with European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) reporting obligations.

China A Shares Inclusion In FTSE Russell’s GEIS

On June 21, the launch ceremony for the China A-shares inclusion in the FTSE Russell’s Global Equity Index Series (GEIS) is successfully held at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), where FTSE Russell announces that it will include the A-shares in its GEIS and the inclusion will take effect at the market opening on June 24, 2019. Following the MSCI, the internationally renowned index provider FTSE Russell will also officially include the A shares in its index system, which marks another major breakthrough in the high-level two-way opening up of China's capital market.
