BIS: Impending Arrival - A Sequel To The Survey On Central Bank Digital Currency

Research and experimentation on central bank digital currencies continue to fuel discussion and debate. This BIS paper updates an earlier survey that asked central banks how their plans in this area are developing. The latest responses show emerging market economies reporting stronger motivations and a higher likelihood that they will issue digital currencies, with central banks representing a fifth of the world's population reportedly likely to issue very soon.

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) will start publishing "Availability of English Disclosure Information by Listed Companies", a list containing information on English disclosure made by listed companies. This new initiative will go toward satisfying demand from foreign investors to understand the kind of English information disclosed by listed companies, including when and where they are disclosed.

SEC Announces Conference On Municipal Securities Disclosure

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it will host a March 10 conference to focus on municipal securities, which are predominantly owned by Main Street investors and help finance important public projects like schools, roads and utilities.
