  • Eurex Introduces Repo Trading - SWX Repo Dealings To Be Integrated Into Eurex/Access Via Internet

    The SWX Swiss Exchange and Eurex have announced that they will cooperate in the trading of repos (sale and repurchase agreements). To that purpose, SWX-Repo, the existing electronic repo-trading platform of the SWX Swiss Exchange, has been integrated into Eurex as of 1 October and from now on will be operated as an independent segment under the name of Eurex-Repo.     The Casablanca Stock Exchange has named Driss Bencheikh as its new director general to replace Fathiya Bennis. Before being appointed by the Exchange's board as director general, Bencheikh held the bourse secretary general position for the last four years.

    We are pleased to announce that a/c/e session price quotes on the CBOT® Web site have been enhanced to 10-minute snapshots. This brings the level of service for the a/c/e electronic session equal to the open outcry session price quotes. Trading of CBOT® products on the a/c/e electronic platform began August 27th and has been extremely successful with over 2 million contracts traded in the first month. Price quotes for the a/c/e session can be found for each commodity under Quotes and Data.

  • CBOE Saddened By Loss Of Former Chairman, Leon Pomerance

    Leon Pomerance, former Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), died October 5, 2000. He was 84 years old. Mr. Pomerance was a founding member of the CBOE and also served as its second Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee from 1974 to 1976.
