Koninklijke Vopak N.V. has announced its intention to hold an extraordinary meeting of shareholders on 17 June 2002 to request approval for a proposed rights issue and the proposed legal spin-off of Vopak''s chemical distribution activities in a new company called Univar N.V. Open interest in stock index products traded on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) set a new record of 1,615,399 positions yesterday, June 13. Volume was boosted by record open interest of 278,499 positions in E-mini™ S&P 500 futures and record open interest of 244,490 positions in E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures.

On June 11, 2002, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) granted contract market designation to OneChicago, LLC Futures Exchange, (OneChicago). Members at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) on Thursday, June 12, 2002 set a new daily volume record in the CBOT's 10-year note options contract, trading 329,161 contracts. The previous high was 281,660 contracts traded on December 11, 2001.
