The April figure represents trades through April 10, 2003.

LIFFE CONNECT™, developed by the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE), will be used as the new trading platform. Fujitsu Limited (Fujitsu) developed the new clearing and settlement system.

Retail investor numbers in the Hong Kong stock market were little changed from the previous survey, while retail investor numbers in the Hong Kong derivatives market decreased.
