Monthly trading volume on The Tokyo International Financial Futures Exchange was 1,183,277 contracts, average daily volume of 62,278, in January. TIFFE's flagship Three-month Euroyen futures contract were down 16% from December at 1,179,524 (daily average 62,080).

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will on Friday, February 16, begin offering a ten-minute post-close trading session at the end of every week, with the same trading range that occurs during the day's trading session, for its crude oil, heating oil, unleaded gasoline, and natural gas futures contracts.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) has set Wednesday, February 14, 2001 as opening trading day for the revised feed wheat futures contract, effective with the listing of the Oct 01 contract. Trading in the new contract design, which was unveiled in January, was approved by the Manitoba Securities Commission earlier this week.
