CBOT Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With Taiwan Exchange

The Board of Directors of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) to pursue cooperative and potential joint business initiatives between the two exchanges.

Yesterday, the Warsaw Stock Exchange equity market recorded the 10th highest turnover ever. The value traded yesterday was 906 million zloty. The highest turnover was recorded on 9th February 2000, and exceeded 1 110 million zloty. The last highest turnover value was recorded on 13th December 2000.

Yesterday, the total futures turnover recorded 43 991, the highest volume ever. The volume of traded futures on the Warsaw Stock Exchange futures market is 15% higher, than the previous best (11.10.2001).

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes after the close of trading on Friday, August 29, 2003: The Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) code for Quebecor World Inc. (TSX:IQW) will change from 25401040 - Publishing to 20201010 - Commercial Printing. Quebecor World Inc. is a constituent of the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX 60 and 60 Capped and the TSX 100 Index.
