Exchange Traded Funds Marketplace Expands To The CBOE - Barclays Global Investors And CBOE Announce Launch Of iShares SM S&P 100® Index Fund (OEF)
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and Barclays Global Investors (BGI) today announced that on October 27, 2000, a newly created exchange traded fund, the iSharesSM S&P 100® 100 Index Fund (CBOE symbol OEF) will trade on the CBOE. The iShares S&P 100 Index Fund is an exchange traded fund that seeks investment results which correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 100 Index®.

Amex Lists $26.8 Million Goldman Sachs Group Issue Linked To Texas Instruments, Inc.
The American Stock Exchange today began trading The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. 0.50% Exchangeable Notes Due October 26, 2007, exchangeable for Common Stock of Texas Instruments, Inc. The seven-year, $26.8 million debt issue is listed under the ticker symbol GSX.A and will mature on October 26, 2007.

Stock Exchange of Thailand Announces SETTRADE.COM Inauguration - Internet Trading Services To Begin November 3, 2000
The Stock Exchange of Thailand announces the inauguration of SETTRADE.COM Co., Ltd., to develop a trading information technology system and central website. This new company will provide securities companies and investors with internet securities trading services to enhance trading efficiency and reduce securities companies’ overall operational costs. SETTRADE.COM will commence services on November 3, 2000.

Euronext Introduces Futures On Blue Chips
As of 28 November 2000, Euronext Amsterdam’s derivatives markets will list futures on individual equities, subject to approval by the Securities Board of the Netherlands (Stichting Toezicht Effectenverkeer). Futures will be available on shares in ABN Amro, Aegon, ING, Ahold, Philips, KPN, Royal Dutch and Unilever. Each contract has an underlying value of 100 shares.
