March Half Yearly Review Of S&P/MIB Index Constituents

Following the March half yearly review of the constituents, Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/MIB Index effective at the start of trading on the 21 March 2005. Lottomatica SPA (Italy, ISIN IT0003380919, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25301010) will replace Tiscali SPA (Italy, ISIN IT0001453924, GICS: Information Technology, GICS Code: 45101010) in the S&P/MIB Index. Tiscali SPA is being removed from the S&P/MIB Index due to a low market capitaliza

February Second Highest Monthly Volume In NYBOT History

February, the shortest month, was an exceptionally big month at the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®), where the monthly volume came in at the second highest level in the exchange’s 135-year history. In only 19 trading days, the NYBOT markets recorded 3,413,473 combined future and options contracts, close behind the all-time high of 3,611,479 contracts set in June 2004.

Euronext: BEL20® Index: Belgacom Extraordinary Dividend

Following the announcement, made public on the 25th February 2005, by Belgacom of the proposed 0.55€ extraordinary dividend payment, Euronext Indices informs that it will adjust the BEL 20® index divisors. This adjustment will only take place, if the Annual General Meeting of Belgacom shareholders, due on 13th April 2005 approves the extraordinary dividend payment.

On March 1st, a delegation formed by representatives of the Shanghai Stock Exchange visited Bovespa (the Brazil’s Stock Exchange) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming at promoting broader cooperation, exchange of information and an ongoing relationship between both institutions.
