Sectors index options for February increased 23.34% when 498,620 contracts traded compared to 404,256 contracts traded in February 2004. Sectors index options volume in February rose 1.44% compared to the previous month when 491,654 contracts traded.

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that on March 2, 2005, it filed an emergency civil action to halt a massive fraud by a group of Palm Beach, Florida based hedge funds, their principals, their unregistered investment advisers, and an affiliated registered broker-dealer. On March 3, 2005, the Securities and Exchange Commission voted to adopt a rule concerning mutual fund redemption fees. The Commission also voted to propose a rule defining the term "nationally recognized statistical rating organization; approved the budget for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board; and reviewed the annual accounting support fee for the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
