ICE Futures Sets Date Of April 21 To List New Heating Oil And Unleaded Gasoline Futures Contracts

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced that it has set a date of Friday, April 21, to list the newest electronically traded contracts at its regulated futures business unit, ICE Futures. The new cash-settled markets include ICE New York Harbor Unleaded Gasoline Blendstock (RBOB) Futures and ICE New York Harbor Heating Oil Futures, as well as three spreads or “cracks” on new and existing contracts.

Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, and the Cairo & Alexandria Stock Exchanges (CASE) launched, on 12 April 2006, the Dow Jones CASE Egypt Titans 20 Index. The blue-chip index measuring the performance of the Egyptian stock market follows the transparent and objective methodology of the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index. The index includes 20 leading Egyptian stocks ranked by free-float market capitalization, sales/revenue and net income.

CBOE Seat Sells For New Record Of 1.25 Million Dollars

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that a seat, or membership, was bought today at a price of $1,250,000. This is a new record seat price at CBOE, surpassing the previous high of $1,150,000, set on March 24, 2006. Today's seat sale was the twenty-sixth of the year and the thirteenth seat that was sold for at least one million dollars during 2006. The high seat sale for 2005 was $875,000.

CBOE Futures Exchange Open Interest Reaches New Milestone - Tops 30,000 Contracts For The First Time

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) announced today that total exchange open interest stood at 31,433 contracts at the close of trading on Wednesday, April 12. This marked the first time ever that open interest has surpassed the 30,000-contract level at CFE. Open interest in futures on the CBOE Volatility Index, "VIX," also reached a new high on Wednesday, April 12 of 29,921 contracts.
