  • Thai Listed Companies Exceed THB 140 Billion Profit (Q1/2006)

    Listed companies on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) posted Q1/2006 profits of THB145.28 billion (approx. USD3.77 billion), an 8% increase year-on-year (y-o-y). Profits of SET50 and SET100 companies made up 77% and 82% of overall profits respectively. The three industry groups recording the highest net profits were Resources, Financials, and Services. The leading five most profitable companies were PTT, SCC, PTTEP, THAI, and ADVANC.

  • Stockholm Stock Exchange’s Disciplinary Committee Fines Wedins

    Wedins Skor & Accessoarer AB has breached the company’s listing agreement with the Stockholm Stock Exchange by not providing information about an extraordinary general meeting in time and by not handling price-sensitive information in the correct manner. The Stockholm Stock Exchange’s Disciplinary Committee has decided to fine Wedins SEK 576,000.

  • SGX Extends Deadline For Consultation On New Derivatives Trading Rulebook

    Given keen interest in the above consultation paper, SGX has decided to extend the deadline for comments from 15 May 2006 till Monday, 22 May 2006. Interested parties are required to submit their comments to SGX no later than 5pm on 22 May 2006. There will be no further extension beyond this date.

  • Nasdaq Notifies Listed Companies About Transition To Exchange Status

    The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (NASDAQ: NDAQ) has updated NASDAQ-listed companies about its transition to exchange status. NASDAQ received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to begin operations as a national securities exchange, once we fulfill several regulatory conditions. NASDAQ expects to begin operations as an exchange for NASDAQ-listed securities as early as June 1, 2006, subject to final SEC approval.
