Market Data Group Booming - FISD Substantially Increases Number Of Members, Activities In 2005-2006

The Software & Information Industry Association is very pleased to announce the results of a resoundingly successful year for its Financial Information Services Division – FISD. During the SIIA’s 2006 fiscal year (July 1 2005 to June 30 2006), FISD membership increased by 43 members -- the largest annual increase in the division’s history.

In the first six months of 2006 the total volume of exchange-based trading in all markets of the MICEX Group amounted to 22.336 trillion rubles (810.8 billion US dollars), up 2.3 times on the same period of 2005.
ICE Futures Sets Exchange-Wide And ICE WTI Crude Futures Volume And Open Interest Records

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced that ICE Futures, its regulated futures subsidiary, established new records in trading volume both exchange-wide and in its WTI Crude futures contract yesterday. On July 13, total volume in ICE Futures markets reached 497,656 contracts, surpassing the May 9, 2006 record of 451,308 contracts by 10.3%.

CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) Open Interest Sets New Record - Open Interest And Volume Surge On Volatility Trade

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) announced today that total exchange open interest reached a new high mark, with 45,549 contracts outstanding at the end of trading on Thursday, July 13th. Open interest and volume at CFE has been driven primarily by a surge in trading in both the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) and CBOE DJIA Volatility Index (VXD) futures. CFE also lists Variance futures.
