Market Regulation Services Inc. Appoints New President And Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of Market Regulation Services Inc. (“RS”) has accepted the resignation of Tom Atkinson as President and Chief Executive Officer and has appointed Maureen Jensen as President and Chief Executive Officer of RS, effective today. Maureen Jensen was formerly Vice President, Market Regulation, Eastern Region at RS.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, August 24, 2007: Alexis Minerals Corporation (TSXVN:AMC) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the same ticker symbol.

The August short interest represents 3.54 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.54 days in July.

Record-Breaking Equity Market Turnover On OMX ICE

Total equity turnover on the OMX Nordic Exchange Iceland (OMX ICE) has already equalled the entire year’s trading in 2006. Just before noon yesterday, turnover reached ISK 2,198bn while there are still over four months until year-end. During this same period last year, equity market transactions totalled ISK 1,306bn, which makes the YoY increase 68%. SWX Swiss Exchange Issues Reprimand Against OC Oerlikon Corporation AG

The SWX Swiss Exchange has determined that OC Oerlikon Corporation AG violated the equal treatment obligation of the ad hoc publicity rules under Art. 72 of the Listing Rules. At investor meetings on 17 and 18 January 2006, the company made statements concerning its yet unpublished financial figures for the fourth quarter of 2005. The Executive Committee of the Admission Board of SWX therefore issued a reprimand against OC Oerlikon and ordered that the sanction be published. The company lodge
