Mayor Of The City Of London Sees “Immense Interest” In BM&F’s Carbon Auction

The Mayor of the City of London, Lord Mayor John Stuttard, said today, during his visit to BM&F, that London has an “immense interest” in the carbon auction to be carried out in September by the Exchange in partnership with the authorities of the City of São Paulo. According to Lord Mayor, the objective of his visit to BM&F is to obtain more information about the auction in order to attract more foreign investors.

The exercise of stock options on BOVESPA added up to BRL 743,777,031.20 on August 20. Call options totaled BRL 429,676,767.20 while put options amounted to BRL 314,100,264.00. The first exercise of POP (Protected and Participative Investment) series of options, with six months expiration term, represented BRL from the total registered on the day.
