Standard & Poor's Announces the S&P Canadian Bond Index Rebalancing Report For August 2007

Standard & Poor's has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange To Begin Trading One New Option On Tuesday, August 28

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that it will begin to trade one new option on August 28, 2007. The following option was allocated to Citadel Derivatives Group LLC: Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. (option/stock symbol: YGE) will trade on the March expiration cycle with initial expiration months of September, October, December and March. Position and exercise limits have been set at 75,000 contracts.

CBOE To Launch Basket Credit Event Binary Options On Tuesday, August 28, 2007

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that it has received final regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and will launch Basket Credit Event Binary Options (Basket CEBOs) beginning Tuesday, August 28, 2007.

August 2007 Monthly Preliminary Performance Report Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes

The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index was down 4.66% for the month of August. The Dow Jones-AIG Single Commodity Indexes for Wheat, Corn, and Soybean had the strongest gains with month-to-date returns of 14.33%, 4.76% and 0.87%, respectively. The worst three performing single commodity indexes were Nickel, Zinc, and Cotton, which were down 12.59%, 11.33%, and 10.09% respectively, in August.

Deutsche Börse will be exhibiting the entries from the four finalists of the ‘Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2007’ from 31 August until 19 October. Works by prizewinner Walid Raad/The Atlas Group (Lebanon), as well as by Philippe Chancel (France), Anders Petersens (Sweden) and Fiona Tan (Indonesia) will be on display.
